Concepts for the Futurewar characters
Most character designs you'll currently find here are using a ocher color key. It's planned to use bright ocher uniforms, that are pretty intact except for some dirt and scrates, for the Historian side. The Children of War use different skins (If we get to it, different models, but time will decide on that.) that are darker green, where the uniforms have a lot of patchwork pieces and bloodstains/skull signs and such to reflect their aggressive attitude.

These two images are concepts for the female "Scout" class character. The character is supposed to have the clothing and toughness of a fighting-class character (unlike the Spy character, that is tuned for sexyness. ;) ), while however also activating the protective insticts of all soldiers in vincinity.
Early sketches and clothing design of the soldier and demoman class characters. The Soldiers in Futurewar don't wear enormous amount of equipment or backpacks. The demoman, always pressing his luck, doesn't wear a helmet but only a cap. What would a helmet be good for abyways if you have a belt of explosives strapped around your waist? However, a headset with full earcups is a must if you don't want to get deaf from explosions. ;)

And finally the "Weapons Expert". I this design, he doesn't wear a helmet and the energy backpack for his weapons isn't really visible - however he should wear both. Obeying the defined the design rules, all the "fighting class" characters (scout, soldier, weapons expert) wear their own type of helmet, while the more supportive characters (demoman, support and spy) wear lighter headwear, up to the Spy wearing her hair almost open. |
